Environmental Impact
Repairing devices keeps them out of landfill and reduces e-waste
Why repair matters
Every time a phone, laptop, tablet, or console gets replaced instead of repaired, it adds to global electronic waste. Repairing extends the life of what you already own, which helps reduce the demand for new manufacturing and keeps working devices in circulation.
We’re not a “greenwashing” brand and we’re not claiming to be perfect — but choosing repair over replacement is one of the simplest ways to reduce your tech footprint.
Our estimated impact
Based on our lifetime repairs and conservative assumptions
10,000+ devices repaired
Every repair is one fewer device replaced immediately.
~3+ tonnes e-waste avoided*
Estimate based on an average of 0.3kg per repaired device.
Repair-first mindset
We’ll always recommend the most sensible fix, not the biggest bill.
*This is an estimate. Device weights vary (phones vs laptops vs consoles). We use a conservative blended average to avoid overstating impact.

Recycling, parts & OEM take-back
We work with parts recycling companies that handle e-waste responsibly. Where possible, this includes routes that support OEM-aligned take-back streams and compliant processing. If a device can’t be saved, we’d rather see it handled properly than thrown away.

What we do to reduce waste
Repair instead of replace
Cracked screens, tired batteries, dodgy charge ports, HDMI issues, water damage — fix the fault and save the device.
Upgrades that extend life
SSD and RAM upgrades can transform an older laptop — faster boot, smoother performance, no need to replace it.
Honest advice
If it’s not worth repairing, we’ll tell you straight — and help you choose the best-value next step.
Responsible recycling
If a device can’t be saved, we’ll point you to responsible recycling options — not the bin.
How we calculate the estimate
We use the publicly-visible “10,000+ devices fixed” figure shown on our website and apply a conservative blended device weight:
Assumption: 0.3kg average per repaired device
Calculation: 10,000 devices × 0.3kg = 3,000kg
Result: ~3 tonnes of e-waste potentially avoided (if each repair prevented an immediate replacement)
This doesn’t include secondary benefits like reduced shipping, reduced packaging, or the upstream impacts of manufacturing new devices — we keep it simple and conservative.
