Charging intermittently
Have to wiggle the cable to get it to charge? The port pins are bent or worn. Needs replacement.
Cable keeps falling out
Loose connection? The port is worn and can't grip the cable properly. Replacement restores a snug fit.
Not connecting to computer
Can't transfer data or connect to iTunes? The data pins in the port may be damaged.
Slow charging
Taking forever to charge? Could be a dirty port limiting the connection. A service usually fixes this.
Corrosion or water damage

iPhone 6 / 6s / 7 / 8 Charging Port — What You Need to Know
These classic iPhone models all use a Lightning charging port. The iPhone 8 and 8 Plus also support Qi wireless charging, but the 6, 6s, and 7 series do not.
We offer two levels of repair:

- Full replacement (£50–£60) — we install a new genuine Apple charging port assembly when the original is damaged.

Common causes: lint in the port, worn cable, damaged port pins, or water damage. Try a different cable first. If that doesn't work, bring it in for a free diagnosis.
Only the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus support Qi wireless charging. The iPhone 6, 6s, and 7 series do not. For those models, you'll need the charging port fixed.
