What's Included in a Tune-Up

A proper service, not just running a cleaner app.

Junk & Bloatware Removal

Trial software, toolbars, pre-installed junk you never asked for, leftover files from uninstalled programs. We clear it all out and free up space and resources.

Startup Optimisation

We check what's loading when you switch on and disable the stuff you don't need. Faster boot times, less RAM wasted on background junk.

Windows & Driver Updates

Out of date Windows, missing security patches, old drivers causing crashes. We bring everything up to date and check for known issues.

Physical Clean

Dust in the fans and vents causes overheating and throttling. We clean it out, check the thermal paste, and make sure air flows properly.

Tune-Up vs SSD Upgrade

Not sure which you need? Here's the difference.

Tune-Up (£40)Best if your computer is already reasonably fast but has slowed over time. Removes junk, updates software, cleans dust. Good for computers with an SSD that have got sluggish.
SSD Upgrade (£65+)Best if your computer still has a mechanical hard drive. This is a hardware upgrade that makes a massive difference. We can do both if you want the full treatment.
Full Service (£100+)Tune-up plus SSD upgrade combined. The complete package for an older computer that needs everything. Makes it feel like a new machine.

Questions About Tune-Ups

We remove bloatware and junk software, disable unnecessary startup programs, clean out temporary files, update Windows and drivers, check for malware, clean dust from fans and vents, and reapply thermal paste if needed. It's a full service that addresses both software and hardware.

Once a year is ideal for most computers. If you're a heavy user or notice it slowing down, every 6 months keeps things running smoothly. A tune-up is cheaper than a new computer and often makes a big difference.

Yes, usually noticeably. Removing junk software and startup programs frees up resources, cleaning dust prevents thermal throttling, and updating drivers improves stability. If your computer still has a mechanical hard drive, we'll recommend an SSD upgrade for an even bigger improvement.

About 2-3 hours for a full tune-up. We run scans, clean software, update everything, and physically clean the inside. Most are done same day, often ready for collection the same afternoon.

No, but we do check for malware as part of the tune-up. A tune-up is about optimization and maintenance, while virus removal is specifically about removing infections. If we find a serious infection during a tune-up, we'll let you know and can handle it for an additional charge.
