The Difference Is Night and Day
If you're not sure what an SSD does, here's what you can expect.
Boots in Seconds
An old hard drive takes 2-5 minutes to load Windows. With an SSD, you're at your desktop in 15-20 seconds. Every single time.
Programs Open Instantly
Chrome, Word, Photoshop — they all open in a second or two instead of making you wait. No more staring at loading screens.
Files Copy Fast
Copying photos, videos, or large files? An SSD is 10-30x faster than a mechanical drive. What took minutes now takes seconds.
More Reliable
No moving parts means SSDs don't fail like old hard drives. They're more durable, run cooler, and are far less likely to lose your data.

Questions About SSD Upgrades
Our SSD upgrades start at £65 including the drive, fitting, and cloning your existing system so everything stays the same. Larger capacity drives cost more. We'll give you a fixed price based on your computer before starting.
No. We clone your existing hard drive to the new SSD, which means your Windows, programs, files, bookmarks, and settings all transfer across exactly as they were. You get it back looking identical, just much faster.
Most SSD upgrades are done same day. The cloning process takes 1-3 hours depending on how much data is on your drive, plus about 30 minutes to swap the drive and test everything.
Most laptops from the last 10 years can be upgraded. Some newer ultra-thin laptops have the storage soldered to the motherboard and can't be upgraded, but we'll check yours first and tell you before charging anything.
For most people a 480GB or 500GB SSD is plenty. If you store lots of photos or videos, we can fit 1TB or 2TB drives. We'll look at how much space you're currently using and recommend the right size.
